Comments | Designed for voyages to Antarctica, the Damien II design has a steel hull with all the ballast (4.5 tons) in the centerboard. Built by META, in Tarare, France for owner completion in 1981, Issuma was completed by her second owner, Yann Sergeant, who then sailed her about 50,000 miles, then sold her to Richard Hudson, who has sailed her about 40,000 miles so far. |
