Comments | The schooner Cassiopeia was launched in 1999 as the second vessel by the designer/builder Robert DeMatteo, who cruised both boats extensively with his family in the Caribbean. The vessel is currently undergoing a major refit including new refrigeration and electrical systems, conversion from tiller to wheel steering, all new navigation equipment, and having both masts replaced with entirely new galvanized rigging which is to be parceled and served. Currently the masts are turned down and are in the shipyard being slushed and varnished before installing the crosstrees and associated hardware. |
